Dr. David Smith 

David M. Smith, M.D., M.B.A.

Chief Executive Officer, CBC/CTS

Dr. David M. Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS). As CEO, Dr. Smith oversees all policy, strategic, fiscal, medical and operational aspects of CBC/CTS. Prior to this position Dr. Smith was the Medical Director at CBC/CTS.

Prior to joining CBC/CTS in 2003, Dr. Smith was a staff Pathologist and Director of Autopsy Services at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Smith began his career as a Forensic Pathologist with the Montgomery County Coroner's Office in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, followed by a Medical Doctor's degree from the Wright State University School of Medicine in 1983. Dr. Smith served his residency at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, followed by a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Toxicology and Criminalistics in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Forensic Pathology. Dr. Smith earned an MBA degree in June 2012 at Raj Soin College of Business Wright State University.

Dr. Smith is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is also the President of the American Association of Tissue Banks, and a member of the American Association of Blood Banks, America's Blood Centers, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the NAACP.

Diane Wilson

Diane L. Wilson, BSN, MSN/MHA

Chief Operating Officer, Tissue Services, CBC/CTS

Mrs. Wilson received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Everett Community College in Everett, Washington and later earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in "Science in Nursing and Health" from the University of Phoenix.

Mrs. Wilson's 20+ years in tissue banking started in 1988, when she became the first Director of the Dayton Regional Tissue Bank, which later became the first Community Tissue Services. Mrs. Wilson has served on most AATB committees and has chaired the Standards Committee. In 2005, she was the first woman to be honored with the prestigious Kenneth Sell Award, which is given to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of tissue banking. In 2009, Mrs. Wilson was elected president of AATB. She is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Joint Restoration Foundation (JRF), which is the nation's leader in fresh cartilage distribution. She has co-authored tissue bank standards for the Association of Orthopedic Nurses (AORN) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).

Jodi Minneman

Jodi Minneman

Chief Operating Officer, Blood Services, CBC/CTS

Jodi L. Minneman is the chief operating officer of Blood Services for Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services. She oversees Donor Relations, Collection Services including apheresis, Components and Hospital Services and all laboratories including HLA, Reference, Molecular, Stem Cell and Donor Testing.

Ms. Minneman was Director of Quality Assurance for CBC/CTS, 1993-1996; HLA Technologist, 1991-1993; Assistant Technical Director, 1986-1991; and Processing Laboratory Supervisor, 1983-1986.  Prior to joining CBC/CTS she was a bench technologist at Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy, 1981-1983.

Ms. Minneman is past president of the Ohio Association of Blood Banks and a member of the American Association of Blood Banks. She serves on the Group Services board of directors for America's Blood Centers and on the board of directors for Blood Group Alliance. She is acting chair for the AIM Company (an endeavor of America's Blood Centers) and is a previous member of the ABC board of directors. 

She is the current president and a four-term member of the Milton-Union Exempted Village School Board and a member of the Milton-Union Education Foundation Board.

Ms. Minneman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Wright State University in 1981 and was certified as a Medical Technologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Ms. Minneman resides in Miami County with her husband. They have a son at The Ohio State University and a daughter at Miami University.

Portrait - John St. John 

John St. John, M.B.A.

Chief Financial Officer, CBC/CTS 

John St. John is the Chief Financial Officer for Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services.  He became CFO in 2016 after serving as a consultant and interim CFO.

St. John has more than 25 years of experience in C-level positions for tissue banks and organ procurement organizations.  He has extensive experience as a CFO and has been responsible for other business areas such as strategy development, HR, IT, and research and development. He is president of Aristeia Consulting and served as CFO and VP during his 22 years at LifeNet. Earlier in his career he worked as a chemist and as Director of Cardiac Services at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

His broad educational background includes a degree in chemistry and an MBA.
