DAYTON, Ohio - Community Blood Center is offering the opportunity to donate a winter coat for the less fortunate and enjoy the frightful fun of the Brimstone Haunt for everyone who registers to donate blood Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dayton CBC Donor Center, 349 S. CBC is partnering with Brimstone Haunt and the WDTN Coats for Kids campaign on the Oct. 18 blood drive.  Everyone who registers to donate will receive one free ticket to the Halloween season Brimstone Haunt attraction at the Renaissance Park Event Center, home of the Ohio Renaissance Festival.

Everyone is invited to support the 36th annual WDTN Coats for Kids campaign by donating a new or washable coat or winter accessory.  Collection barrels will be available at the Dayton CBC Donor Center now through the Oct. 18 blood drive.

Corporate sponsors for the Coats for Kids campaign include LCNB National Bank and Catholic Social Services.  Cintas Corporation launders the clothing and RUSH Transportation and Logistics provides transport. Distribution to families in need of assistance will be Nov. 1 at Catholic Social Services.

Brimstone Haunt, one of the region's newest Halloween season attractions, is now celebrating its third season. The Brimstone Farm features the Haunted Hayride, Forgotten Forest and the new Psychosis maze. 

The attractions are operated by Brimstone Haunt and are open Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 26 at 472 Brimstone Road, Wilmington. Operating hours are 7 p.m. to midnight.  The Ohio Renaissance Festival is a long-time supporter of CBC and the free tickets for registered donors are courtesy of Brimstone Haunt.
