DAYTON, Ohio - Give the gift of life and get a box of St. Valentine chocolates at the Community Blood Center "Give The Love" blood drive.

Register to donate Friday, Feb. 12 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday, Feb. 13 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dayton CBC, 349 South Main St. and get a 6-piece box of assorted Esther Price chocolates, plus the "Team Donor" long-sleeve t-shirt, "Fight. Heal. Give" face mask and free COVID-19 antibody testing. Make an appointment at or call (937) 461-3220.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to depress blood collection and winter weather has canceled several high school blood drives.  CBC has declared 2021 "Blood Donor Year" and is challenging able community members to donate at least three times in 2021.

CBC's goal is to register 200 donors Friday at the Dayton CBC for the "Give The Love" Blood Drive and 125 donors on Saturday.

The goal of the new "Fight. Heal. Give" campaign is to encourage COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma donations, especially from new donors. Learn more about donating CCP at and make an appointment at (937) 461-3220.

There is no deferral or delay in making a regular blood donation after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. CCP donors who have received the COVID-19 vaccine may be eligible to continue donating CCP. To confirm your eligibility email or call (937) 461-3220.
